W.E. Gowling Public School has been the hub of the Carlington and Caldwell Community since its construction in 1947. The Carlington Community which surrounds the school was built as a post-war community for returning veterans after World War Two. Thousands of students and community members have been enjoying the school during its 62 year history. Today our school of 350 students is a wonderfully diverse group representing over 53 countries of origin and speaking more than 38 distinct languages. At W.E. Gowling Public School we provide a safe, caring and supportive environment where student learning is the focus of an educational partnership among dedicated staff, parents and the community. Our priorities are Literacy, Numeracy, student pride, success, accountability, and an inclusive approach to education which promotes individual growth and success.
